Most Popular Blog Posts of 2012

DBRLTeen Best of 2012As we bid farewell to 2012, I would like to say THANK YOU to all the teens, teachers, parents, and patrons who visit our blog. We appreciate your readership and comments! To celebrate another successful year, I’d like to provide a recap of this year’s most popular posts.

In January, we kicked off our author interview series with Brian Katcher and Jennifer Brown. Check out our exclusive video segments with these award-winning authors.

Dystopian literature continues to be a huge draw for teen readers. “Hunger Game Read-Alikes” still proves to be the blog’s most popular booklist , as are Book Dude’s recommendations forĀ  end-of-the-world reading.

And speaking of book recommendations, staff book reviews provide a great jumping-off point when you are looking for your next favorite book. This year’s most popular staff reviews were of “Fault in Our Stars” by John Green and “Divergent” by Veronica Roth. Don’t forget that we also encourage young writers to submit their own book reviews, too!

Our talented teen patrons are the driving force behind our blog. It is no surprise then, that our most popular posts overall are related to the content created by these amazing young adults. Don’t take my word for it, though; review the creative artwork and stories submitted for our summer photo contest, flash fiction writing contest, and our stop-motion animation program.
