“Elemental” Book Giveaway

Elemental Book GiveawayIn honor of Teen Read Week, the Daniel Boone Regional Library will be giving away autographed copies of Antony John’s latest books, “Elemental” and “Firebrand.” This dystopian series follows the story of Thomas who, unlike his friends, lacks supernatural power over one of the four elements—earth, water, wind, or fire. While “Elemental” was published last year, “Firebrand” will be released next month on November 14.

These books represent a departure from John’s successful realistic fiction novels; however, this should not be any cause for alarm. The well-constructed and suspenseful plot of “Elemental” makes this book a captivating read for anyone who loved the “Hunger Games” trilogy, the “Maze Runner” trilogy, or the “Divergent” trilogy. While reading “Elemental”, I was reminded of the famous quote from the “Spiderman” comic book series: “With great power comes great responsibility.”

I have also read John’s Gateway award-nominated title “Five Flavors of Dumb” and I appreciated his realistic and compassionate handling of the book’s sensitive topics. DBRL children’s librarian Jerilyn Hahn and teen book reviewer Kelly Temporal also had great things to say about this title. Given his popularity with our blog readers, you don’t want to miss out on this great book giveaway! Register today for your chance to win! The winner will be announced in mid-November.
