Design a bookmark for Daniel Boone Regional Library’s upcoming Summer Reading program for kids and teens. The teen theme this year is “Express Yourself” and the kids’ theme is “Be Creative.” Help us promote summer reading this year by designing an original bookmark. The top three winners in each age bracket (13-18 or under 13) from each facility will get their bookmarks printed and distributed this spring and summer. Entry deadline is March 31. One entry per person, please

Columbia Philatelic (Stamp Collectors) Society will have a stamp show at the library!  Displays and collections from many countries, and lots of questions and answers from the experts.

Bring your friends to see the 1953 classic movie War of the Worlds, complete with all the cheezy 45-year-old special effects you could want.  Actually I jest: its interesting to see how movie makers did special effects in the days before computers!
