“Every Hero Has a Story” Teen Photo Contest

Hero Photo Contest CollageHonor a hero in your life by submitting a portrait June 15 to August 15 with a short description of his or her inspiring deeds. Entries may be headshots or photos of your chosen hero in action. Winners will receive a gift card to Barnes & Noble and their entries will be posted at teens.dbrl.org.

Contest Deadline:
Online entries will be accepted through Saturday, August 15, 2015.


  • The contest is open to ages 12 to 18.
  • You must live in either Boone or Callaway County, Missouri.

Contest Rules:

  • Submissions may be a headshots or a photo of your chosen subject in action.
  • Photos must be an original works taken by the applicant.
  • Photos must be captured digitally.
  • Photos may be digitally enhanced.
  • Entry limit is 1 photo per person.

Submission Guidelines:
All contest participants must complete the online entry form. Once the entry form has been submitted, participants must email their photos as an attachment to teen@dbrl.org. Photos must be captured in high resolution (1MB or higher) and must be received by Saturday, August 15, 2015.
